Here’s how Boom Boxes work

Uncategorized

We know that the event is party-themed, with dancing and music the obvious way for the game to ring in the new year. Boomboxes fit right into that motif.

The new item, which acts as a kind of super-powerful grenade, blared its way into the game this morning as part of the v7.10 content update #2. You’ll find these lying about all over the place. Unlike normal grenades, however, they don’t damage other players. They melt through structures instead.

In fact, this item is a great way to solve the “Destroy Chairs” challenge, as one Boombox will easily tear through an entire building. Place one at the top of a tower in Tilted and it’ll destroy floor after floor on its way down. You can really make some mischief with this item. I’m sure some players will hate it.

Here’s how Boom Boxes work:

  • Activate to create powerful blasts of music that deal structure damage in a large area!
  • Newly built walls in the radius of the box are destroyed with every blast.
  • Shoot the Boom Box to stop its effects.

Other stuff in this morning’s patch include new Ice Castle prefabs for Creative Mode. There’s also the Day 12 ’14 Days Of Fortnite’ challenge which you can read about here.

The previously leaked-by-Epic holiday skin Sugarplum is also available today in the Item Shop. I dig it. free v bucks no human verification
